Wondering about adsonar? This site offers information about web advertising, publishers and more. I have personally given Quigo Adsonar a serious investment of time and energy and after a lot of work, have decided that they pale in comparison to Google Adsense, Yahoo! Publisher Network and others.

AdSonar Payout - Poor

There payout was extremely poor for me, and the sites I tried adsonar on were making great money with Adsense. Adsonar never really did pan out for me and I never saw the high paying clicks I found with adsense!

As for adsonar support, I had written them a number of times about topics such as adsonar placement, tips and help. I usually never received a response, and if I did, it was cryptic! For example, Adsonar recommended ad placement that was completely opposite of Adsense. It was information like this that discouraged me from sticking with adsonar.

AdSonar's Great Backend

I do have to give adsonar a big plug for their backend! The Adsonar control panel allows you to control as many or more aspects than with Google's adsense. They went above and beyond with the backend options, it's just unfortunate that Adsonar failed to deliver on the payout.

Quigo? No Go

So, would I recommend Adsonar for webmasters looking to make money from their site? Not a chance! Perhaps someone else has had a better experience, but for me it was a serious investment of time and energy getting the adsonar ads up and running, time I could have spent on something else!
